Sometimes you may have a shared computer where you do not want users to be able to shutdown or restart.

- First, click on Start.
- Type run in search box and click on Run .
- Type gpedit.msc in Run box and hit enter.
- Open user configuration as shown above image. Then administrative templates > start Menu and taskbar .
- Now on the right panel, find Remove and prevent access to the Shut Down, Restart, Sleep and Hibernate commands and double-click on it.
- Set it to Enabled then click Apply and Ok .
- In the start menu,the only options available are log off, switch user, and lock.
- Then a restart may be required to complete the changes.
How To remove log off button
- First, click on Start.
- Type run in search box and click on Run .
- Type gpedit.msc in Run box and hit enter.
- Open user configuration as shown above image. Then administrative templates > start Menu and taskbar .
- Find the Remove Logoff on start menu setting, Now double click on it and change it to Enabled
How To remove shutdown button from login screen
- First, click on Start.
- Type run in search box and click on Run .
- Type gpedit.msc in Run box and hit enter.
- Open Computer configuration as shown above image. Then Windows setting > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options .
- From right panel, Find the Shutdown: Allow the system to be shutdown without having to log on and change it to disabled.
